How to Build a Quiz Funnel in Systeme.io (3 Methods, 2026)

Build a Systeme.io quiz funnel with the native survey element, with a quiz tool plus Zapier, or with a direct connection. The 3 methods compared, step by step.

In short

A quiz funnel is a funnel whose front door is a quiz: the person answers, leaves their email to see their result, gets their profile tag, then the email sequence and the offer that match that profile.

In Systeme.io there are three ways to build one. The native Survey element applies one tag per answer, but calculates neither a profile nor a result. A quiz tool wired through Zapier does everything, but adds a subscription and a fragile chain. A tool connected directly to Systeme.io creates the contact and applies the profile tag with nothing in between.

You already have your Systeme.io funnel: a capture page, a free guide, an email sequence. And it purrs along.

Signups come in, but you know nothing about them. You send them all the same sequence, and a good share of them never feel it is about them.

A quiz funnel fixes exactly that. Instead of asking for an email in exchange for a PDF, you offer the person something to learn about themselves. They answer, they get their result, and you get their email and the reason they came.

Here are the three ways to build one in Systeme.io, with what each one really costs.

How a quiz funnel works inside Systeme.io

A complete quiz funnel is five steps:

  • The quiz page, with a clear promise: "Find out your ... profile in 2 minutes".
  • The questions, easy at the start, more involving after.
  • The email capture, right before the result.
  • The result page, different for each profile.
  • What follows automatically in Systeme.io: the profile tag is applied, and that tag fires the email sequence that leads to your offer.

Why does it work better than a plain capture page? Because the person has already invested time when you ask for their email, and they want THEIR answer. Per Interact's report, calculated on more than 100 million leads, 40.1% of people who start a quiz leave their email (44.9% in coaching and training). That percentage is of the people who start, not of all your visitors.

Method 1 · The quiz funnel with the native Systeme.io survey

Systeme.io has a Survey element in its page editor. A lot of people do not know it exists.

How to do it:

  • Create a funnel step and add the Survey element.
  • Write your questions and their multiple-choice answers.
  • Attach a tag to each answer.
  • The email field is always the last step.
  • Create one automation rule per tag (Tag added, then Subscribe to campaign).

The answers are stored on each contact's record.

What it does well: it is free, it is built in, and for simple segmentation ("beginner or experienced?") it is enough.

What it does not do: the survey calculates neither a profile nor a score across all the answers, and it shows no personalised result page. The person answers, and... that is it. Yet the result is what makes someone finish and hand over their email. You also cannot tag a free-text answer.

In plain terms: it is a segmentation form, not a quiz.

Method 2 · A quiz tool wired to Systeme.io through Zapier

Typeform, Interact, Outgrow and most quiz tools do not connect to Systeme.io directly. You need a middleman: Zapier, Make or Pabbly.

What it does well: you get a real quiz, with profiles and result pages, and often conditional logic.

What it costs: two subscriptions, and a chain to maintain. Typeform Plus, the tier that removes the branding, is €49 a month, and Zapier Professional, the one that allows a multi-step Zap, is €27. That is €76 a month to do what your quiz already does. And at Interact, their own documentation asks for one Zap per result, plus a tag created by hand in Systeme.io for each result, otherwise it does not show up in Zapier.

The risk: every link can break. One disabled Zap, one renamed tag, and the leads stop arriving, with nothing to warn you.

I have detailed each tool on the Typeform + Systeme.io, Interact + Systeme.io and Zapier + Systeme.io pages.

Method 3 · A quiz tool connected straight to Systeme.io

This is the simplest method, because there is no middleman left. The quiz tool talks to your Systeme.io account directly.

Among the quiz tools I compared, two do it in September 2026: Tiquiz, which I built, and Quizify. Full disclosure: I am obviously biased towards the first one, so here are the facts, checkable on their pricing pages.

  • Tiquiz: the Systeme.io connection is included from the free plan. Tiquiz creates the contact, creates the profile tag if it does not exist and applies it, and writes the profile title into the tiquiz_result field. No middleman, no extra subscription, and the AI writes the quiz from your subject.
  • Quizify: per their pricing page, email integrations unlock with the Growth tier, at €29 a month after the first month free.

With Tiquiz, the quiz funnel goes up like this:

  • You connect your Systeme.io account, once.
  • You give your subject: the AI writes the questions, the options and the result profiles. You read it over and adjust.
  • You pick each profile's tag (or let Tiquiz create it).
  • You publish: a link to share, or a few lines of code to embed the quiz in your Systeme.io page.
  • In Systeme.io, one rule per tag subscribes each profile to its campaign. I laid them all out in the Systeme.io automation rules.

The structure of a Systeme.io quiz funnel that sells

Building the quiz is half the work. Here is what separates a quiz that captures from a quiz that sells.

A promise about the person, not about you. "Stress management quiz" promises nothing. "What is your stress profile (and how to calm it)?" promises a personal result.

Easy first questions. People rarely quit after answering three questions: the effort already spent pushes them to the end.

The email before the result, never after. And a clear promise at that moment: "Your detailed result is waiting".

A result page in four beats. The mirror (you describe their situation in their words), the cause (what is really in the way), the path (the steps), and only then the bridge to your offer. I laid it all out in the CAPTO® method, and Tiquiz offers those four beats right in the editor.

One sequence per profile. Julie, "the exhausted perfectionist", and Marc, "the motivated beginner", do not need the same email tomorrow morning.

The Systeme.io quiz funnel in a handful of steps

  1. A promise centred on the person's result
  2. Easy questions first
  3. The email right before the result
  4. A result page in four beats
  5. One tag per profile, one campaign per tag

A Systeme.io quiz funnel, for real

Jocelyne is a speech therapist. She launched a quiz connected to Systeme.io with no audience at all to start with, and a small ad budget (€63.50). In 9 days, 285 people left her their email, at €0.18 per lead. By day 17 she was at 680. The whole story is in her case study.

FAQ · Systeme.io quiz funnels

Does Systeme.io have a built-in quiz tool?

It has a Survey element, which applies one tag per answer and stores the answers on the contact record. It calculates neither a profile nor a score and shows no result page: for a real quiz, you need an external tool.

What is the best quiz tool for Systeme.io?

It depends what you want. For simple segmentation, the native survey is enough. For a quiz with profiles and tags applied with no middleman, Tiquiz does it from its free plan. The full comparison is here.

Do you need Zapier to connect a quiz to Systeme.io?

Not with a directly connected tool such as Tiquiz. With Typeform, Interact or Outgrow, yes, or Make, or Pabbly.

How many questions should a quiz funnel have?

Enough for the result to be credible, no more. Say how long it takes on the intro page ("2 minutes"), and keep the most involving questions for the middle.

Can you embed the quiz directly in a Systeme.io page?

Yes, with Tiquiz, through a link or a few lines of code to paste into your page.

Does a quiz funnel work without an audience?

It converts the traffic you have better, but it does not create it. Jocelyne started from zero with a small ad budget: 285 leads in 9 days.
