Using your own domain name

Your quizzes under your own name

By default your quizzes open on quiz.tipote.com. You can serve them from your own address instead, e.g. quiz.your-brand.com: that is what the visitor sees in their browser.

This is a paid plan feature (from Monthly up).

The domain does not remove the Tiquiz mention. The "This quiz is offered by Tiquiz" line at the bottom of your quizzes is a separate setting: in the quiz editor, Share tab, you can replace it with your own text and link, or hide it completely (paid plans too).

How to do it

Go to Settings > Domain, then:

  1. Enter your address. A subdomain you control is recommended (quiz.your-brand.com), but your main domain works too. You just need access to its DNS settings.
  2. Add the DNS record Tiquiz shows you, at your registrar (OVH, Gandi, Cloudflare, Hostinger…). Tiquiz gives you the three fields to fill in: type, name and target. Copy, paste.
  3. Wait. Tiquiz watches on its own for ten minutes and tells you the moment it goes live.

If it stays pending

It is almost always DNS still travelling around the world. It can take minutes or hours, and it does not depend on Tiquiz. Come back later and hit Verify.

If it genuinely fails, the most common cause is an existing record on the same name conflicting with the new one.

Once verified

All your quizzes, surveys and popquizzes are served from your domain, with no per-project setting. Each keeps its own short link.

You can remove the domain whenever you like: your quizzes go back to the Tiquiz address, nothing is lost.
